STAGE 2 – First Interview: by Telephone

Once received, your Expression of Interest will be assessed by Flowers by Fruit. Following our assessment, you will be contacted by telephone for the first stage in our Franchisee selection process. This telephone interview process will assist us to assess your suitability as a potential Flowers by Fruit Franchise owner. You will be contacted within approximately 1 week of the date we receive your Expression of Interest Form.

STAGE 3 - Second Interview: Meeting Face to Face

Following completion of this telephone interview, your application form will be short-listed for attendance at the first face-to-face interview. It is vital that this interview is attended by all parties to the proposed franchise operation. During this interview, you will receive an informal, yet comprehensive introduction into Flowers by Fruit and the franchising opportunity will be discussed with you in more detail. The first interview may be treated as a get to know you session where both parties to the meeting may form further opinions as to the overall suitability of the application. All information provided to you must be treated as confidential.

STAGE 4  The Second Interview – Formal Application & Profiling Questionnaire

Following the Second Interview, if the Flowers by Fruit team think you are suitable for a Flowers by Fruit franchise you will be asked to complete a formal application and undergo a Profiling session.

This Profiling Session you will be asked to also complete a detailed questionnaire. This questionnaire will assist the Flowers by Fruit team in further assessing your application as your responses will provide them with an insight into your potential operation of the Flowers by Fruit franchise and the area in which you would like to operate either as a Creation Centre or Egg. 

STAGE 5  Receiving your Flowers by Fruit Franchisee Documentation

Following the second and third interviews, the Flowers by Fruit team will make an assessment of your suitability to join the Flowers by Fruit franchise family. 

If successful you will receive you Franchisee Pack including the Disclosure Document, Franchise Agreement and Franchising Code of Conduct.

You will also be provided with a Financial Model so that you and your advisors can assess the commercial viability of the business.

STAGE 6 Creation Centre Experience Day 

The Experience Day is an opportunity to ensure that all potential New Partners to the Flowers by Fruit family are not only the right cultural fit; they also have the necessary motivations to become Brand ambassadors and strong operational leaders. This program is facilitated by one of our accredited Experience Day Leaders in a Flowers by Fruit Creation Centre

STAGE 7 Making the Final Decision

The next stage is for you to make an informed decision. The Franchising Code of Conduct states that you cannot enter into a Franchise Agreement until at least fourteen (14) days have elapsed from receiving the documentation. This time will allow you to review the above documentation with your advisors, speak to existing franchisees, begin arranging finance and follow up any other questions you may have about the business.

STAGE 8 Final Interview / Region & Territory Allocation

The final interview should take place only when you feel confident about wanting to join the Flowers by Fruit team. Final approval for Flowers by Fruit Franchisees will need to be granted by the Flowers by Fruit Director, Tania Katsanis. The final interview provides both Tania and you with the opportunity to learn more about each other. Final approval will either be given at the final interview or within 48 hours following. In most instances, the venue for the final interview is at the Flowers by Fruit Support Centre in Sydney.

Creation Centre Region: A Creation Centre region will be granted after the final interview.

Egg Territory: An Egg Territory can only be granted if a Creation Centre has been established in that area.

STAGE 9 Franchise Agreement

Following your approval into the Flowers by Fruit franchise network, we will liaise with you in preparing your Franchise Agreements. Depending on organization and time constraints, the Franchise Agreements can be organised within three weeks.

During this time, the Franchisor will request from you a completed Instructions for Lawyers form containing the key details about you, necessary for the Franchise Agreement to be completed, and instruct the Franchisor’s lawyer to prepare and send out the Franchise Agreement in its final form to you, together with a Representations Certificate for your completion and signing prior to jointly signing the completed Franchise Agreement. You will also need to provide to the Franchisor’s solicitor a cheque payable for $2,000 which will cover the Franchisor’s Solicitor fees.

Under the mandatory Franchise Code of Conduct, the completed Franchise Agreement cannot be ratified until fourteen (14) clear days after you have received it.

The final meeting will be the formal signing of the documentation by both parties, including the Representations Certificate, Franchise Agreement and any other items such as a Licence to Occupy (Licence to occupy applies to a Creation Centre only). 

At this point you will pay the Initial Franchise Fee, Training Fee, Initial Marketing Fee and the Equipment Package Fee as described in the Disclosure Document and set out in the Franchise Agreement.

 STAGE 10 Cooling off Period

There is a mandatory seven (7) day cooling off period from the date of signing the Franchise Agreement. Any payments made to the Franchisor are fully refundable if you withdraw from the Franchise Agreement during this seven (7) day cooling off period, with the exception of the amount specified in the Franchise Agreement for reasonable costs incurred by the Franchisor.  

STAGE 11 Training

The Flowers by Fruit Creation Centre Training is three weeks full time. The training is on the job and will be conducted in a Creation Centre by Tania Katsanis and experienced and accredited Partner Trainers. Typically, training is scheduled 4-5 weeks prior to your Creation Centre opening. This allows for the information you have learnt to be fresh in your mind for when you start in your Creation Centre.

The Flowers by Fruit EGG Training is 7 days full time. The training is conducted by Tania Katsanis and experienced and accredited Partner Trainers. Typically, training is scheduled 1-2 weeks prior to commencing your EGG business.This allows for the information you have learnt to be fresh in your mind for when you start.
